The mission of Alabama One Health Record® is to improve the health care quality and efficiency of the health care delivery in the state through the electronic exchange of health record information. Ultimately, Alabama One Health Record® seeks to provide consumers access to their own health information and to encourage greater participation in their health care decisions. Alabama One Health Record® has been designed to: • Ensure health information is available to healthcare providers at the point of care for all patients; • Reduce medical errors and avoid duplicative procedures; • Improve coordination of care between hospitals, physicians, and other health professionals.
