HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE (HIE)

A health information exchange is a secure network that allows access to patient data. Alabama One Health Record^® is the state HIE that provides a longitudinal patient record that can be made available through a web enabled log-in. Participants are offered a Single Sign-On (SSO) via integration within an existing health or medical record system and are guaranteed certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT) while meeting CMS standards for interoperability.
