The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) EHR Incentive Programs was established in 2009 in an effort to encourage providers and hospitals to adopt, implement and use Electronic Health Records in the daily practice of medicine. The Alabama Medicaid Agency is responsible for administration of the program and managing the payment process.

Deadline Extended for Submitting Program Year (PY) 2016 AIU Attestation for Eligible Professionals and Eligible Hospitals
The Meaningful Use Administration Division of the Alabama Medicaid Agency would like to thank you for your participation in the Meaningful Use EHR Incentive Payment Program.
We are pleased to inform you that the deadline for submitting your PY 2016 AIU or MU attestation has been extended to June 30th, 2017. In order to be considered for an incentive payment, your 2016 AIU or MU application must be completely submitted via the Alabama State Level Registry (SLR) before 12:00 midnight CST on Friday, June 30th, 2017.
